March 14 – March 20
This is a good week to take stock of where you are in the course, and to plan a bit ahead.
Check you have the following:
- 5-15 reports with reading journals for the materials we read in class for weeks 2 through 7 –> 6 reports in total so far (week 8 is due on March 21)
- Re-familiarize yourself with the requirements of the 5-15 report: What goes into the 5-15 report: At minimum the Reading Journal (it’s possibly a bit late now to remember what else you did in week 4 if you’re playing catch up)
- Does your report show up for me/others? Check the blog stream: it should appear here max. 1 hr after posting on your blog.
- First Reflection (Week 6, Friday item)
- Feedback on each other’s blog posts, using Hypothes.is group HST259, weeks 2-7 (4 blogs x 6 –> 24 comments)
- All the small bites of the assignments towards a successful chapter so far: share as blog post, except for the “Gather Literature” task (Zotero folder/collection in our Group library)
Catch up with these while you can, because what we have seen so far is a good foundation for the rest of this semester, and next semester: content, historiography, techniques and methods, as well as practice in reading and writing (processing information and presenting it). Regular practice brings you closer to mastery!
Look ahead
